This urban workshop book is a collective publication by the participants of the 1st year Urban Studio of the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, both students and academic staff. The urban workshop and the publication was realized between February and June 2017. The field of the Urban Workshop is since 2004 a neighbourhood attached to the District Municipality of Sarıyer, Rumelifeneri. It is situated on the northwestern extreme of the Bosphorus opening towards the Black Sea with strategic meaning to the city of Istanbul throughout the history.

This is an collective work summarizing the field work and the subsequent in-workshop analyses of the urban planning studio at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning (Istanbul) with the first year students, in 2018 Spring term in Misiköy / Gümüştepe, Nilüfer, Bursa. It includes a substantial bibliography on the neighbourhood and its region, spatial, historical and socioeconomic analysis on diverse scales.
